Trip to East Brady

Today, we headed for our marina for the last time, this year. Made the boat trailer ready for the ride to East Brady, added air to the tires, installed new tie-downs on the boat, greased the axels and connected the wiring, etc.

Had a nice sunny day up north, enjoying the changing leaves, along the way. We checked in and parked the boat in the mine and headed home. Once home, We moved the jetski into our garage.

We are ready for winter now!

Last ride, taking our boat out of the river

Monday, we came down for a final cruise, up to the Freeport Bridge and back to our marina. Hooked up the trailer to our truck and loaded up the boat, Daylight, not lasting very long, it was dark by 7 PM.

Tuesday I drove out from work and pressure washed the hull and drained the fresh water tank, and the engine manifold, removed the anchor and packed our stuff away - on board, decided to leave most things on-board for storage in the mine, instead of taking everything home....

It is sad to see the season end, but we had a good year! This Saturday we will haul the boat to East Brady.... Come on Spring!

Cliff & Maria

Indian Summer!

We has a last taste of summer, this past weekend. Many of our fellow boaters have pulled their boats for the season. We came down to the boat and stayed thru Sunday, enjoying the summer weather.

We help celebrate Pittsburgh's 250!

While the weather has been cloudy and cool, we decided to head down to Pittsburgh on Saturday to see the big fireworks display. We were able to get a slip at Lock 1 marina and the couple in the huge houseboat in front of us, ran an extension cord to us, so we could have power & heat for the night. We got to tour both of the boats pictured. They are beautiful! We met two couples who live "year 'round" on the water, they stay at Fox Chapel Marina. Maria wants to move into a houseboat!
