On Saturday, we left our marina and headed south on the Allegheny towards Pittsburgh. After moving through 3 locks, Lots of boaters on the water, for the Kenny Chesney concert at PNC Park. We rafted off with friends from our marina, who also came down for the festivities! We hung out along on the river-walk, meeting new friends. We thought we would spend the nite, but things were getting too roudy, so we left.
to check out the Three Rivers Arts Festible at the point. after that we headed north to pickup Kathy & Will at the public launch at Harmerville, after a scary experience in Lock #2 - They raised the lock chamber too fast, causing all the boats to pull away from the wall. Stopped at Fox Chapel for fuel also.
After the stop at Harmerville, we took our time enjoying the day, cruising back to our marina.
